13-year-old Namya Joshi is the inspiration we need, this academic year. A 7th-grade<\/span> student of Sat Paul Mittal School, Ludhiana, Punjab, Namya has helped teachers across the globe to learn to use Minecraft in the classroom.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

She <\/span>has conducted multiple Skype sessions for both teachers and students to encourage them to use Minecraft in classes<\/span> for easy and quick learning of chapters. Using the Microsoft-owned video game, Namya has created history by making learning fun with technology. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella<\/strong>, who was in Delhi for the \u2018<\/span>Young Innovators\u2019 Summit<\/strong>\u2019, lauded her work and said, \u201c<\/span>She learnt to program while having fun.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Students are titans of innovation with the ability to create, while also having fun. A lot of their creations turn out to be extremely helpful to the society and environment. They are conquering the world, one creation at a time.<\/span><\/p>\n

Namya\u2019s passion is technology and she is likely to blend it with learning as her career option. At the age of 15, Diva channeled her interest in technology to help animals in distress. Being a researcher at IIT Delhi\u2019s Innovation Lab, she created a device that could alert individuals when an animal needs help, and thus, quicken the treatment process. When animals are brought to the hospital, this device alerts doctors about cases that need immediate attention. It can also be used by people when they leave their pets behind at home. This innovation also got her admission at <\/span>Stanford University<\/b><\/a><\/span>. Proud of you, girl!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

To decrease the burden of carrying many books to school, Aryan created a Smart School Bag that indicates whether or not your time-table requires a particular book that day. An LED light uses a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tag attached to the books as an indicator. This automated process helps in saving a lot of time and effort on the part of the student. Just imagine the amount of time you can save!<\/span><\/p>\n

Anurudh\u2019s VAXXWAGON rigs together a plastic cooler and a bicycle so that containers carrying vaccines in remote areas of the country are kept cold. Making the country proud, Anurudh won the LEGO Education Builder Award at the 2015 Google Science Fair.<\/span><\/p>\n

Saiyam is a genius and you\u2019d agree with us when we say that he created a torch for the visually impaired. This torch uses sensors and beeps every time there is an object nearby. Along with this, the wonder kid also created LED lights that change according to the beat and a mobile-controlled robot. How cool is that!<\/span><\/p>\n

Delhi Public School RK Puram\u2019s class 12 students created TRAECY – an emission sensing, location tracking and navigating device that aims to analyse and reduce the levels of pollution in the city. Apart from Shreyas and Pranshu, team TRAECY also comprises Aditya Sengupta, Danish Bansal and Tanmay Bansal. When is your next brainstorming session with your gang?
