ABOUT JGU

O.P. Jindal Global (Institution of Eminence) Deemed to be University was founded as a philanthropic initiative of its Founding Chancellor, Mr. Naveen Jindal, in memory of his father, Mr. O.P. Jindal. Established in 2009, JGU aspires to serve as a role model for institutional excellence in higher education through carefully curated interdisciplinary curriculum.

It has been awarded the coveted ‘Institution of Eminence’ status by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. A non-profit, research-driven university, JGU ranks among the top 700 universities in the world and is also ranked No. 1 Private University in India as per QS World University Rankings 2023.

JGU is one of the few universities in Asia that maintains a 1:9 faculty-student ratio and appoints faculty members from India and different parts of the world with outstanding academic qualifications and experience.
