YIELDING GOOD HARVESTS! WORKSHOP ON EFFECTIVE STUDY SKILLS
A workshop on ‘ Effective Study Skills’ was conducted for the students of classes IX, X & XI , the session being chaired by the renowned psychiatrist and career counselor, Dr V K Ravindran. The session was highly substantial and would certainly embellish the performance of the students. The key points of the workshop were TIME MANAGEMENT, CONCENTRATION CUES AND DO’S AND DONT’S while preparing for the exams. It was not only engaging but interesting too , as it captured the attention and enthusiasm of each student, without giving vent to any monotony. Post the workshop, followed the question answer round. Overcoming all hesitations, the students raised relevant and intelligent queries, which were acknowledged with in depth explanations. This is what our students opined thereafter: “This was indeed a food for thought in true sense. Career Counselling session
The Career Guidance and Planning Session is a personalised session that marks the laying out of a student’s customised road map which identifies 7 Milestones that are need for his/her success. The counselling session commences with an introductory session where the first two milestones important for the college admission planning process namely: Finalizing the Course and Country of preference are decided upon. Career Counselling session

Symposium on Higher Education
A counselling and guidance symposium by Dr. Ravindran , a renowned educational psychologist and trainer, was conducted in our school premises for the parents and students of class X. The session bore prolific outcomes wherein he emphasised on the assimilation of Aptitude, Interest and Passion for a successful career. The session will comprise of three phases - Orientation , Aptitude Test and finally , one-to-one counselling of the students along with their parents.

Counseling Session
The students of Emerald Heights International School commenced their college planning process with the Univariety counsellor at their school. The Counsellors had an individualized counselling session where they spoke to each of the students on how to understand their aptitudes, interests and personality and accordingly what career would deem appropriate for them. The students were also taken where to study and what course would be optimal through a systematic College Guidance and Planning process. The end result was that the student left the session feeling competent and empowered to their careers.

Importance of Banking
The school initiated the Bank Champs Project in collaboration with the regional Kotak Mahindra Bank, which aimed at enhancing the financial capabilities of the children.Also a visit was organised for the students to the bank where special information counters were set up for the students.
